BB360 Leadership Internships

Interns will contribute to BB360 initiatives, programs, events, and day-to-day operations. Under the guidance of senior BB360 professionals, they will attend key meetings and events while gaining a deeper understanding of how a nonprofit organization operates. Interns will build skills in customer service, communications, camper care, leadership and supervision, human resources, organizational operations, program development, fundraising, and risk management. The program will teach and reinforce core management and leadership principles while giving interns opportunities to apply what they learn in practice.

Each Intern will have a portfolio of work based on gaining knowledge in the following focus areas:

PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT: Structured process of designing, creating, implementing, and evaluation of programs, with age-specific and developmentally appropriate goals.

CAMPER CARE: Engaging with camper families to create accommodation plans, with the goal of ensuring every camper has meaningful experiences at Camp.

OPERATIONS: Day-to-day administrative, financial, and logistical activities required to keep BB360 and our Camps running to deliver community impact.

MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS: Outreach, branding, storytelling, social media, and writing to build awareness, inspire action, and secure camper registration and seasonal staff employment.

RECRUITMENT: Combining mission-driven storytelling with targeted outreach to attract new campers, seasonal staff, and donors.

FUNDRAISING: Donor stewardship activities to lead to securing vital funds for our mission.

SUPERVISION & LEADERSHIP: Learning to guide, support, and manage staff and volunteers to advance our mission.

Ideal applicants are college students who have a passion for Jewish camp, and desire to pursue a Jewish camp career, or a career in a Jewish or broader youth-serving nonprofit. Applicants will spend the summer at BB Overnight or BB Day Camp, following the academic year internship.

STEP 1: Talk with the CEO, a Senior BB360 Professional, and/or the Camp Director. The BB360 Leadership Internship is a long-term commitment. Before moving forward, be sure to have a conversation with a BB360 senior professional to ensure this is a good fit right now for you and BB360.

STEP 2: You will need to submit a cover letter, resume, and contact information for three references to Michelle Koplan, CEO, at mkoplan@bbcamp.org. Deadline October 1, 2026.

STEP 3: Interviews will begin as soon as application materials are received. Applicants will be notified no later than 10 days after the application deadline.

Interns will spend the academic year working a minimum of 5 hours per week, per university quarter, both virtually and in-person, alongside BB360 professionals. Interns will work during the summer season at BB Overnight or BB Day Camp.

This is a 9-month internship. The following is the BB360 Leadership Internship timeline:
October 2026: Internship begins!
October 2026- Mid-June 2027: Interns work virtually and/ or in person, depending on activities.
Mid-June-Mid-August 2027: Interns work at BB Camp or BB Day Camp
Mid-August 2027: Internship concludes.

Interns are encouraged to apply for the next cohort and/or continue working at BB Camp or BB Day Camp in future summers.

Yes. Interns will receive a $1,000 stipend for each academic quarter during the school year, for a total of up to $3,000. Stipends will be paid every two weeks through BB360’s regular payroll cycle, from Mid-October through Mid-June. Interns will also receive a separate seasonal summer camp employment agreement from the Camp Director outlining their summer duties and compensation.
