Camp L’Chaim: The Art of Growing Wiser

A Camp Experience for the 60+ Community and Caregivers

September 28 – October 1, 2026

Camp L’Chaim invites adults ages 60+ along with caregivers in the community, to step away from daily routines and into a meaningful, joy-filled Jewish retreat surrounded by nature, community, and reflection. This 4-day, 3-night experience is designed for participants to explore aging, purpose, connection, and self-discovery through a Jewish lens.

Guided by nationally acclaimed Jewish Educator and Modern Elder Academy Facilitator Rabbi Deborah Newbrun, campers will engage in inspiring workshops, meaningful conversations, reflective practices, and joyful Jewish experiences that honor the wisdom and possibilities that come with this stage of life.

Throughout the retreat, participants will build community in Chavurah groups, enjoy creative and outdoor activities, share meals and rituals together, and reconnect with themselves and others in a warm, welcoming environment. Camp L’Chaim is a space to reflect, celebrate, laugh, learn, and embrace the journey ahead.

Caregivers are also warmly welcomed. A dedicated track for adults ages 35–55+ caring for aging parents or spouses will offer support, education, guidance, connection, and opportunities for reflection alongside others navigating similar experiences.

By the end of Camp L’Chaim, campers will leave feeling refreshed, inspired, and deeply connected — with new friendships, meaningful conversations, and a renewed sense of purpose that continues long after camp ends.
