Jewish Enrichment

Judaism is an important part of BB Camp and is infused in all aspects of our programming. We offer campers the opportunity to learn about Israel, Jewish tradition, and culture in a fun, immersive way, grounded in our core Jewish values. We teach about Simcha (joy), Kehila (community), Chaverut (friendship), Ometz Lev (courage), Shalom (peace), Tikkun Olam (repairing the World) and Dor L’dor (Heritage). One of our most special times? Friday nights, as we come together to celebrate the warmth and traditions of Shabbat in our beautiful outdoor amphitheater.

Arts and Crafts

Dive into a world of artistic expression with our dynamic arts and crafts programs, where every camper has the chance to unleash their inner artist. From cabin activities to specialized clubs and individual electives, there’s something for everyone at every skill level. Get ready to explore creative activities, including candle-making, tie-dyeing, painting, garbage art, molding with fimo clay, mask-making, and ceramics. Older campers also get the chance to make birdhouses or adirondack deck chairs in our woodworking program and leave their mark on Camp by designing and painting stunning group murals that adorn our grounds with color and personality.

Aquatic Activities

BB Camp offers summertime magic on the sparkling waters of Devils Lake, allowing campers to dive into a world of aquatic adventures and water activities that are guaranteed to create unforgettable memories. From serene canoeing and kayaking to heart-pounding hydro-tubing, and paddleboarding, there’s no shortage of thrills to be had on the water. If you’re more of an on-land type, take advantage of our outdoor heated swimming pool!​

*All aquatics at BB Camp have varying size, age, and ability restrictions. Personal Flotation Devices (PFD) are required on the lake at all times. All campers must participate in a swim test to swim PFD-free in the pool.

Ropes Course, Zipline, and Climbing Wall

Elevate your adventure in the sky with BB Camp’s ropes course, zipline, and climbing wall activities! Cabin groups come together to conquer the ropes course, fostering unity and cabin spirit while tackling exciting challenges. The course consists of three exhilarating elements, including the flying squirrel, catwalk, and trapeze, where participants can soar to new heights. Located at the entrance to Camp are our exciting zip line and climbing walls, allowing campers to challenge themselves individually. Campers are empowered to push their limits, but no one is required to go beyond their comfort zone. These activities offer breathtaking views of our beautiful grounds and Devil’s Lake.​

*The BB Camp Challenge Course and all ropes elements have size requirements for participants’ safety. Participants must be between 65 and 250 lbs and must properly fit inside a harness.

Athletics

BB Camp believes in the power of physical activity to keep our bodies strong and minds sharp, and our athletics program is designed to do just that. Whether you’re swinging for the fences in softball, dribbling your way to victory in basketball, lobbing balls on the tennis courts, or scoring goals on the soccer field, there’s something for every sports enthusiast – as well as archery, field hockey, ultimate frisbee, and more! Our facilities include a brand new Field House with a full-size gym and game room, two outdoor tennis courts, outdoor basketball courts, a ball field, and a heated swimming pool.

Teva (Nature) and Garden

Our hands-on nature experiences are not only educational — they offer campers the chance to connect with the world around them in unforgettable ways. We bring Israeli scouts (Tzofim) to lead the program, connecting wilderness and outdoor skills to Jewish culture and heritage. Plus, you’ll get to see the making of our world-famous Tzofim Tuna Treat! From environmental education sessions to hikes at Cascade Head and working in our farm-to-fork camp garden, campers learn valuable skills while nurturing their connection to the earth.

Creative Arts

BB Camp’s creative arts program allows campers’ imaginations to soar through singing, instruments, dance, creative writing, and drama. Every day after lunch and dinner, campers come together for our lively song sessions in our expanded dining room/ Performing Arts Center, where the entire community joins in on singing, dancing, and celebrating the joy of expressing themselves in positive and innovative ways.

Israeli Culture

Campers immerse themselves in Israeli culture alongside Israeli staff who bring their unique experiences and wisdom to our campers, creating an unforgettable cultural exchange. Led by our Israeli Culture Director, campers dive into the rich history, music, and traditions of the people of Israel through an array of engaging activities. From creating colorful arts and crafts inspired by Israeli heritage to learning traditional songs and dances, campers embark on a journey to Israel without ever leaving BB Camp.

Off-Camp Trips

Beyond the campgrounds, campers embark on inspiring trips that promise unforgettable experiences. Off-camp adventures include days at the beach, invigorating hikes, and white-water river rafting, all of which are designed to ignite the spirit of exploration in every camper. All trips are tailored to be age-appropriate and well-supervised, ensuring safety and fun for every camper.
