Free Summer Camp for Jewish Military Families — Applications Now Open
Military life asks a lot of families. Long deployments, frequent moves, and the weight of service can make it hard for kids to build lasting friendships, find a sense of community, and discover a place that feels like their own. That’s exactly what Operation Summer Camp is designed to give them. Powered by the JWB Jewish Chaplains Council, Operation Summer Camp covers up to four weeks at BB Camp, fully funded, for up to three summers, and a fourth summer at 75% of the cost. There’s no limit on how many children in a family can participate, and geography is not a factor. This is a real, meaningful investment in your child’s summer, at no cost to you.
Who qualifies? Eligible campers are rising 3rd–8th graders who identify as Jewish with at least one parent who is actively serving, honorably discharged within the last five years, a VA chaplain, a Purple Heart Awardee, or a Gold Star Parent. Siblings are encouraged to apply together.
Operation Summer Camp ensures that Jewish children in military families stationed around the world can enjoy the magic of BB Camp! Children of Jewish military families will benefit from:
- A “home base” in the beautiful Pacific Northwest to return to annually
- Friendships that transcend time and geography
- The opportunity to build a strong Jewish identity and a lifelong commitment to Jewish life
